What is a blower?
You may be thinking: sure you repair and sell blowers, but what is a blower anyway?
A blower / roots-type blower / positive displacement blower / rotary lobe blower / rotary air blower, is basically a machine that moves a given volume of gas (air) with each revolution of the driving shaft.
Roots blowers operate at a relatively low pressure, generally no greater than 1bar depending on the make and model.
The blowers we specialise in typically have 2 impellers that have 2 or 3 lobes.
The impellers are rotated by either; pulleys and belts attached to a motor or direct coupling (including being used on vehicles).
The differential of pressure caused by rotating the lobes causes air to be sucked into the blower and pushed out of the other side.
