A short time ago, S and A Engineering completed the repair and refurbishments of this Baratti blower package, sent in to us by a customer.
As part of the package refurbishment process, S and A Engineering conducted a thorough inspection of both the package and blower itself; disassembling its components for investigation and assessing whether parts simply needed a clean-up, refurbishing or replacing.
The blower inspection included our standard minimum 20-point checks to ensure all components were up to standard. The blower was rusted solid so this required additional cleaning and checking during the inspection phase.
The package was missing many of its acoustic panels, the remaining panels being heavily damaged and corroded, so these needed to be remanufactured, along with the inlet and discharge silencers which had also suffered moisture ingress and rusting. In total the package required:
Replacement coupling spider, new motor, anti-vibration mounts, new custom made inlet and discharge silencers, custom gaskets, enclosure panels including powder coating and lining with acoustic medium, new relief and check valves, gauges and the refurbishment of the unloading valve, base frame and blower.
