Whilst having cost-saving benefits, did you know that repairing your faulty blower rather than replacing it with a new blower can also benefit the environment?
Every year, tonnes of wasted and scrapped industrial equipment is sent to landfill in the UK. By opting to repair your faulty blower, you are keeping a blower from being sent to scrap when it could be fixed and reducing the amount of waste your company is producing.
Repairing a blower extends the lifespan of your initial purchase and is often more cost effective than buying a new blower.
When you repair a blower rather than buying a new machine, you’re reducing the amount of raw materials used in manufacturing. Further, repairing your existing blower helps reduce energy consumption used in the manufacturing of unnecessary new machines.
As the effect of industrial waste becomes greater in the UK, choosing to repair your existing blower can hugely reduce your environmental impact, and help your business become more environmentally friendly as a result.
S and A Engineering has been repairing blowers and airlocks since 1995, and is now one of the UK’s trusted blower repair specialists, with a customer base ranging from single person enterprises to international blue-chip corporations. We have even worked directly with blower manufacturers to help them repair blower units outside of their own range. The Four Rs are at the centre of our business: Reduce, Reuse, Repair, Recycle. We aim to reduce the need for your blower to be repaired or replaced through our maintenance program, we offer refurbished blowers for sale, keeping machines from being needlessly scrapped, and we can repair your existing machine to like-new condition. As a last resort, we will recycle any blower that we are unable to repair, including utilising as many functioning components as possible, before sending it off to a registered sorter.
Our blower repair service ensures your blower is returned to you in full working order. We will inspect your machine for any damage and try to identify the root of the problem. The expert team at S and A Engineering performs a 20-point minimum inspection process, with all major parts being inspected. Once the cause of your blower’s problems has been identified, we will report this to you, and provide a quote for the repair costs. We will then fully repair your blower, which includes cleaning all individual components thoroughly of any rust and build-up, and replacing any components which experience general wear and tear, including bearings and seals. We will also replace any other parts which have been identified as worn or damaged.
